Swamping on Ice
February 20, 2010
The weather was sunny and seasonably warm today, so I loaded up a canoe and paddled out to a new spot that I wanted to explore. It was a beautiful day to be on the water ... as long as you were warm and dry. The ground was ice cold; especially where the sun could not reach it. I shot some video of me, slogging around in the swampy woods. I started out bare footed, but quickly retreated to my diving boots to keep from freezing my feet off. It was warm enough that I could strip down to a loin cloth for my first video clip. I changed into briefs for the second. I shot almost 30 minutes of video (which probably took about an hour) and did a little exploring before I started to get chilly. Once I was dry and dressed, I warmed up quickly. I’m really glad I got to go out and get some sun today. It was really a pretty day. I’m uploading a short clip from the first of the two videos I shot. It’s in the movie gallery, or you can click here.
